Opportunity

The IT Director will be a vital member of the leadership team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. In this position you will work directly with Endeavour IT Manager, Edged staff and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic IT plans that support the organization's technology, security, data, and compliance objectives. We are looking for someone who can help set the standards and create the foundation to having an IT-first focus environment, while strategizing ways to scale our IT posture, foundation and providing cutting-edge innovative solutions.

The IT Director needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. The North American division of Edged is a joint venture between an affiliate of Endeavour and one of the largest private multinational corporations with business lines including technology, energy, engineering, as well as other materially related economic sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing IT strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Endeavour IT Manager and Edged Director, Technology & Operations in developing organization’s IT and Digital strategy.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including staff, managing budgets, resources, and schedules.
  • Managing and controlling the IT budget, ensuring that spending is in line with the organization's priorities and objectives.
  • Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to the IT team to ensure successful delivery of IT projects and services.
  • Managing and developing the IT team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as senior executives, business unit leaders, and external partners to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with executive team and other department leads to drive IT compliance and adoption.
  • Leading and managing large-scale IT projects, from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Managing and mitigating IT-related risks, such as cyber threats, data breaches, and system downtime.
  • Ensuring that the organization's IT systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations, such as SOC, ISO, NIST, PCI, and GDPR.
  • Analyzing and reporting on key IT performance metrics, such as system uptime, response times, and user satisfaction.
  • Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for hardware, software, and services.
  • Evaluating, recommending, and implementing new hardware and software technologies to improve the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of the organization's IT systems and data.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT industry and making recommendations for their adoption.
  • Providing strategic guidance on the use of emerging technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications such as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and/or Microsoft Azure are preferred.
  • Regulatory experience in Data center /mission critical facilities preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience leading large-scale IT projects, managing budgets, and overseeing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as network infrastructure, data governance, cybersecurity, and support.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide systems such as ERP, CRM, or EHR.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience building, developing, and coaching IT teams. Prefer experience working with remote teams.
