We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join Endeavour’s accounting team, working hand-in-hand with the Accounting Manager and reporting directly to Endeavour’s Controller. This role is part of the support team that services the entire Endeavour ecosystem and contributes to the overall health and success of the organization.

The Senior Accountant needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. As the Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Reports to:
Controller

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Participate in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Monitor general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
  • Prepare inter-company reconciliations
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial reports
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Participate in the audit/tax prep process and liaise with external auditors
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices
  • Provide financial analysis to support management decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues
  • Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed
  • Assist CFO and Controller with ad hoc reporting and projects

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in public accounting in a national CPA firm is required, Big 4 preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience in corporate accounting and general ledger required. Start-ups preferred
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting ERP systems, i.e. Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other technology systems
  • Proficient in Excel
